I'm really at a loss as to why there are so many disgruntled shoppers in the Toms River store. Some of the reviews border on libel! I shop there at least once a week and find the front end employees to be efficient and helpful. The front end manager, Brett, is a great support to his employees. Always willing to step in and help, or respectfully address a concern. I have never done Shop from Home, but my sister does. I know the employees in that department and Lynn is an outstanding manager. I'm also familiar with Roger, Paula and Shirley. Excellent representatives of the store (and no, we're not related!). I have NEVER gotten bad fish, rotten produce or stale baked goods. One of the reviewers on this thread has a habit of leaving terrible nonstop reviews because she feels she's being watched. If you've done nothing wrong, don't sweat it. But there are more than 100 cameras in that store and if they stop you at the door, they have a reason to. The store manager, Mr. Guazzo, is the most customer friendly guy I've ever dealt with. He's all about customer satisfaction. The cashiers that I have had are sweet and knowledgeable. There seems to be a big turnover on the front end but often, one of the cashiers simply transfers to another department, moves away or is promoted within the company. Overall, my experiences at the Rt. 37 store have exceeded my expectations. For all the negative reviewers out there who seem like genuinely unhappy people, ShopRite will survive and thrive if you leave. And again, as long as you don't shoplift, don't be paranoid. Nobody is "following" you. PS) Self-check monitors are told to redirect shoppers with more than 20 items. This is to minimize theft. Just be agreeable and go to a cashier. Don't shoot the messenger!

I have been ordering ShopRite from home every single week for almost 2 years now. I picked it up every single week. They really are a great group of employees working in that department. There is only 1 unpleasant blonde woman who always makes my experience uncomfortable. I don't even understand how she still is employed there. Any time I have a question and/or problem she is the last person I want to speak to. My 3 top favorite workers are: Hope, an older gentleman with glasses, and a younger gentleman with glasses! They make my life so much easier and I am so grateful for them! This is the best ShopRite around.

This store is always very busy but it is the best ShopRite around. They have the largest section of healthier foods. Unlike most markets this location has 2 aisles designated for the dieters restricted individuals. Vegan / gluten free / low sugar area
